The Axe quadruplets appear in a photograph with their father, Phillip Axe, and siblings,Timothy, Charles and Kathleen.The identical girls caused a national sensation when they were born at St. Rita’s Hospital on March 4, 1963. Phillip Axe, who worked for the Lima Citizen, moved his family to Toledo after the Citizen closed in January 1964.
