William Rusler as he appears in “The Standard History of Allen County, Ohio,” which was compiled in 1921 under his editorial supervision. “Mr. Rusler had long wanted to have a comprehensive history of Allen County,” it is noted in the book. “Now that this volume has made its advent in the world of books, it is hoped that those who are bent on research may be able to find in it all they had hoped for – that it may ‘fill a long felt want’ in the community.”
